I recommend you buy the largest filters you can afford. If you purchase a smaller size filter and later you purchase a larger lens you will need to re-purchase larger filters to use with your new equipment. The cost difference in minimal and to then re-purchase would be a complete waste of your money. The Pro Filters allow for a larger lens and offer more variables for larger formats such as a medium format camera. For most DSLR the standard or Pro-Z holder system work just fine. I would recommend you use a set of neutral density filters and a set of graduated neutral density filters. If you have a classified camera section in your area, check to see if anyone is selling a used set??? You might find a deal out there. I used Cokin for quite a while and they worked great. I had a buddy sell me a full set of Lee filters and they are very nice, but I would still be using Cokin if that deal had not come along.

Happy Shooting!

Hi. I wanted to ask for your advice regarding the Cokin filters. I have bought two Canon lenses (the 17-40 mm f/4L and the 70-200 mm f/4L IS), and am currently considering the adquisition of the aforementioned filters. However, I am confused about what is the right series? P? Z-Pro? The reason why am not sure has to do with the vignetting that may be observed when the wrong filter holder is used with a wide-angle lens (something I saw frequently when using my A-series filters in my old Pentax MZ-50 camera). Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Kevin

I really enjoyed reading your tips on capturing a panorama, thank you so much for posting them.

Delighted to read that you are making use of the tips and features over at the Adorama Learning Center. My personal favorite features are the 'How To' videos by Mark Wallace, and the podcast series from Jack Howard & Mason Resnick where they answer reader questions about gear, various photography techniques etc

BTW if you ever need advice or after-sales support with an order from Adorama, please don't hesitate to drop me an email.
